One year ago today, we vowed to stand by each other for better or for worse.
It’s certainly been an eventful year, and I simply cannot put into words how grateful I am for the ways you have stuck by me and supported me.
Thank you for all the little, everyday things that have helped me to feel loved.
Thank you for prioritizing date nights, and patiently encouraging my 101 schemes. Thank you for taking the bins out because you know I don’t like doing it, and for doing my own jobs when I am too tired. Thank you for making me stop when I am sick, for tucking me into bed and getting me Gilmore Girls and chocolate.
Thank you for taking a paid job so I can focus on my studies more. Thank you for letting me have my space when I need it. Thank you for encouraging and leading me in my prayer life. Thank you for loving and putting God first, before me. Thank you for knowing when I’m not quite happy. Thank you for challenging me to be better. Thank you for putting up with the crazy and irrational moments. Thank you for supporting me through so much unemployment and job stress, for being there quite literally: for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sickness and in health. Thank you.
A year ago we vowed to be together forever.
And I love you more now than I did then for all of the things we have been through together in the last 365 days.
I look forward to celebrating many many more anniversaries with you. 🙂
Love,
Your not-so-patient wife x
